Call For Help - REdress Raleigh event March 2009

We are going to be co-hosting REdress Raleigh in March 2009 with MorLove (www.morlove.org) and American Vintage Clothing and Classics, Inc (www.avcc-inc.com)!
MorLove is a student organization aiming to become a foundation in the
next few years. MorLove refashions clothing and donates proceeds from
sales to an orphanage in Africa. AVCC, Inc. is a high-quality vintage
clothing company that also includes a line of reconstructed pieces and
is headquarted in Durham, NC.
REdress Raleigh's main focus will be on sustainable wearable clothing
- showing creative and/or innovative ways to approach fashion in a
recreated, recycled, or renewable manner. The main goals of REdress
Raleigh are to show that "green" is in every day life, including fashion, and to encourage the growing eco-fashion field.
Below are descriptions of the committees that will
be forming to help plan this fashion show. If you can help, please
email the Chair listed at the end of each description, explain that you
are part of the co-hosting Triangle EGB, and let them know how to get
in touch with you.

REDRESS RALEIGH COMMITTEES:
Business Logistics:
This
committee will be dealing with the budget of this event and securing
sponsorships and donations for the production of the event and content
of the swag bags. This committee will need to work with the MorLove and
Legacy Event Planning student organizations to make sure that there is
financial support for the REdress Raleigh show.

PR and Communications:
Graphic designers, photographers, journalists, etc.
This
committee will be in charge of fliers and publications and will be the
heart and soul of marketing for the Redress Raleigh show. This
committee will also help publicize the Redress Raleigh show before,
during, and after the event.

Product Development:
This
committee will create a team of designers who will produce items for
the MorLove store during the event. We want to sell a variety of items
in the store, show people that textile materials could be used in a
million different creative ways, and raise money for the Amani baby
cottage.

Event Planning:
This committee is in charge of
making sure that the day of the Fashion Show runs smoothly. Everything
from setup to breakdown during the day of the fashion show. You will
also make sure that the show starts on time, the designers and their
models are ready when they need to be, the MorLove store is staffed all
day, etc.

This committee is in charge of
